Aircooled VW Distributor EMPI 9437-B
EMPI electronic "all-in-one" single vacuum advance distributor features a magnetic pick up with the amplifier attached to the distributor for "all-in-one" ease of installation. Features a smooth advance curve that starts at 1,000 RPM and has a total of 18 degrees at 2,400 RPM with 10 degree vacuum advance. Must be used with a coil with an internal resistor or an external ballast resistor must be used. Fits the following models (12-Volt only): Type 1-Bug/Ghia 1946-1979 (except EFI models); Type 181-1973-1975 Thing; Type 2-1950-1971 Bus/Transporter; Type 3-1962-1973.
The distributor cap can be in trasparent clear /red /blue /yellow /gray /brown./dark
