22.2mm(7/8")Internal Diameter (Bore Size) Wheel Cylinder
VW Front Wheel Cylinders are bolted to the backing plate inside the front brake drum and connect to the master cylinder with hydraulic hoses and brake lines. The wheel cylinders use hydraulic pressure to push the brake shoes into the brake drums through pistons inside the cylinders to stop the brake drum from spinning. The Front Wheel Cylinder fits 1958 through 1977 Standard Beetles, 1958 through 1966 Karmann Ghias and 1973 through 1974 Things. The wheel cylinders are made in Europe, sold individually and fit the left or right side.Note the 113611057B, wheel cylinder has been superceded to the 131611057 wheel cylinder.
